Mechanical- Machineroom-less traction elevators require hoistway ventilation. See IBC 3005.2 and ASME A17.1 section 2.7.9.2
Depending on type of ventilation provided, motorized dampers may be required, ventilation and dampers are to be controlled via top of hoistway thermostat and interlocked with top of hoistway heat detector and elevator lobby smoke detectors and remove power from ventilation and close dampers upon activation of any of these devices.
Electrical- 3 phase and 110v cab circuit power to be located at uppermost floor at elevator controller in door frame.
