Per formal review, the site plan illustrates the wrong location for "A" and "B" wall signs. Please fix the location on the site plan and correct the sign permit application to reflect that the signs are for the east and west elevations (not north and south). In addition, the front/south elevation (actually the west elevation - not the front/south) photograph taken with the proposed wall sign must be retaken so that the image is not at an angle but a straight view for the west elevation.
Also, per formal site inspection, the store front length measured 22'-6" for the east and west elevations - it's not 25ft. Please correct the sign permit application to reflect the measured linear length of the business as 22'-6".
Per City Code, wall signs are regulated under the commercial use classification and are given a 1.5sf per linear foot of tenant building frontage. The building on the west elevation calculates out to 22.5 linear feet which would allow up to 33.75 sf. Per your proposed drawing, signs on the west elevation exceed code allocations with the existing sign on the wall. Proposed signage total = 36.05 sf which leaves an overage 2.3 sf. Please revise application to reflect the maximum allowed 33.75 sf total for the west elevation and re-submit.
This plan was denied for illegal signage. If the illegal signage is still up when a re-review is requested, a $100 fee will be assessed prior to further re-inspections. The temporary banner attached to the part of the protruding building structure on the west side of the building is are PROHIBITED in City limits. Banners are ONLY permitted when they are attached to the exterior of a building wall, require a permit and are limited to 90 days display allocation per calendar year per City Code §7.4.1307(F)(1)(b)(4) / §7.4.1307(F)(1)(b)(5).
