Under current Chapter 8 regulations the OWTS will require modification to accommodate the proposed change to the structure. The current 2022 engineered OWTS approval is for 3 bedrooms; the addition of 2 bedrooms exceeds the existing approval. Additionally, the proposed kitchen on the floorplan will require these bedrooms to be designed at additional capacity of 100 gpd per bedroom to the system. Contact an OWTS licensed installer to initiate the system modification process. A list of installers can be found on our website at www.elpasocountyhealth.org
