Will the guest house be lived in permanently or will it be for occasional stays only? If the intended use of the guest house is for occasional stays only, please complete the uploaded Accessory Living Quarters Affidavit. Also provide the document authorizing the person(s) signing the affidavit on behalf of DPP LIVING TRUST. The affidavit must be filled out completely to include the address of the accessory living quarters (typically different than main address), legal description, and tax schedule number. The affidavit must be signed and notarized by all property owners on title. This information can be found on the El Paso County Assessor’s parcel search page. The affidavit must then be recorded with the Clerk and Recorder’s office. Once the recorded affidavit is received, upload or include the recorded document with your plan set to Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.
Check with the Enumerations department to verify addressing for the existing structure and the proposed residence. 2 different address may be needed.
Also, please clarify whether the existing 1500 SF barn has living space above.
